Animal Protection League

The Animal Protection League  was formed in 1984 in Texas as an animal rescue and adoption agency.  In May 1996, the League was reorganized with an additional goal of operating a low cost spay/neuter and vaccination program located in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

The APL, which provides spaying and neutering services as well as other preventative care for dogs and cats, is expanding their horizons and has moved to a location with twice as much space in Longview.

“It’s spacious and much better parking than the other one.  I can’t say enough about it,” said Director Sheila Phillips.  “We are so happy to be here.  We can spread out in our lobby now; the other location was pretty small.”

Their mission is to improve the health and well-being of the area citizens while strengthening the quality of life for its animals.

Their new location is at 1308 Pine Tree Road, Longview, TX and has 2,700 square feet.  They are open Monday through Friday, 10:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. and may be reached at (903) 753 – 7387.
