Senior Brooke Blassingame recently won Harleton’s 2018 Homecoming queen. Blassingame has been a four-year member of student council, cheer, and a three-year member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). She currently serves as band secretary and president of National Honor Society (NHS).

When asked about her Homecoming win, Blassingame replied, “I would like to thank everyone who voted for me. More importantly, I would like to thank my family, friends, teachers, and even some strangers for helping me to become who I am today. This achievement was not something of my doing but of everyone who has guided my path throughout these past years. I am so elated to have been chosen to be the 2018 homecoming queen for Harleton High. Honored and blessed are two words that continue to come to mind. I am so thankful to have such a memorable high school experience such as this! Thank you all again, but most importantly, thank God for every opportunity and blessing in this life.”
